Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals concise easy-to-master techniques for the at-home cook in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was employed at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary tradition and its landscape. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. Her passion was for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced my most memorable time in my life. I just couldn't get enough enjoyment from the experience. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy the chef acquired an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she has a mission to raise awareness for the condition of children with diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her culinary passion and profession. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has always said I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion to others.
